Privacy & trust

What Flora Plug does with your data.

Plain description of how the app works today.

  • Stored on your device

Your garden, watering dates, saved light levels, Lounge posts, photos you attach to posts, and Ask the Library history live in this browser. Clearing site data erases them.

  • Synced when you sign in

If you sign in with Google, your garden plants (plant, nickname, water interval and last watered date) are saved to a Firestore database so they follow you across devices.

  • Sent to an AI service

When you tap Ask on a scan or a question, the photo (if you added one) and your words are sent to xAI's Grok service to get an answer. Photos are not saved by Flora Plug. Don't send a photo you don't want processed that way.

  • Google tools

My Garden has optional Google Calendar, Sheets and other exports. Those only run when you tap them, and only after you grant access to your Google account.

  • What we don't do

No ads. No selling data. No advertising trackers added by us.
